Yep, they could make a play off run...but could they have beaten Detroit without Diana?
Not so sure. You had to have been around that team in 2007 to know what Diana meant on and OFF the court. She is just a leader and her mates loved her!

Yes, Lynxfan 89 is correct, Seimone is the only Super-star on the team, the only Olympiad. Taylor, Pondexter plus Diana are all olympiads with tons of WNBA and International championship experience, so don't go there, Whitedude. If Seimone was playing with that Sparks before the injury , they would be undefeated . Phoenix, has played four home games, two of the games, Leslie and Seimone went down, so we really don't know if they really would have won those two games, we really just don't know. Charde, is going to be Superstar, but she still doesn't have the experience Cappie has or Penny Taylor, dude, you're blowing smoke out your tutty Pie.

It doesn't matter. The Lynx now have Anosike, Wiggins, Houston. All who can score and defend as good as PHX's players. PHX is off to a great start this year without Penny Taylor. No team can win with only one star. PHX now has a few, as does the Lynx, just like the Lynx did last year. Both teams have as many stars. You didn't make your point.

Taurasi led Phoenix to the playoffs AFTER she had 3 allstars added to her team...also note that Cappie Pondexter won MVP in that post season run.
You give the Lynx Penny Taylor, Cappie Pondexter, and Tangela Smith (coupled with Seimone Augustus), and I'm pretty sure the Lynx could make a playoff run as well.

PHX does not qualify for playoff spots very often because of their rediculous style of play and because of bad coaching over the years. By the way, when was the last time the Lynx made the playoffs, or made it to the finals, or won a championship? The Lynx, for the past few years, had IMO better coaching than PHX. When was the last time Simone ever led her team to anything??? Don't be in here saying that the reason PHX is not a yearly playoff team because of Taurasi. She is probably the 2nd or 3rd best player in the league who just happens to be on a team that is never coached to play defense or rebound. If they were, PHX would be winning more championships than Detroit, who by the way, are thru. PHX has about an 80% chance of winning it all this year if they continue playing at the level they are right now. Detroit & MInnesota have about a 5% chance. Detroit, because they suck this year, lost their head coach, now has a head coach who doesn't know what he's doing, and a team that is getting old and littered with injuries. The only reason the Lynx are out of the picture is because they lost Simone Augustus.

Flyguy I don't even know why your wasting your time posting in this thread anymore. At least Dee moved on, but this other guy is just a complete nutcake who is obviously just jealous that his player got hurt and diana, who always outplayed simone, didn't.

Richard, I promised myself to leave the Diana conversation piece alone, but her fans still come to the Big Nasty Nicky Thread and attack Seimone's fans. They come over here and attack us, and at the same time they're trying their best to get me banned. It's so obvious Diana from those photo shoots Diana goes out to injure players, it's a shame her fans love every bit of the physical aggression she applies against other players. The coaches saw what happen, Seimone's teammates , that's why Big Nicky was ready to take her out. From the pictures you see why the American's were called the dirty team. Lauren Jackson is a beast,the best player in the world, I have never seen Lauren Jackson stoop to the level of Taurasi, why must she play like that? Seimone should never trust Taurasi behind her back ever again, you can't trust in the front of you, she was trying to clothes line Sue Birld. I finished with it Deeo, I'm going to let it go, Dirty D fans are trying to get us banned.

The two refs don't call the clothesline tackle foul in picture 3. How'd they miss that? There are hundreds and hundreds of flagrant foul pictures like this on google images and flickr.com.
It is a foul when the defensive player makes body contact trying to block a shot.
When you search photos online for players like Seimone Augustus, Deanna Nolan, Lauren Jackson and others all you see is picture after picture of them shooting perfect form jump shots. You don't see them injuring other players' heads, necks, shoulders, arms, torsos, legs, ankles and feet like the photos at
